Progress shots of my large thread illustration installation at the wonderful Red Gallery/Market…. I installed this piece live during their 3rd Anniversary event last weekend, I had a great day until the end when a drunk girl decided to play with the thread and rip a huge chunk down, but oh well, suppose thats what i have to prepare for with the materials i choose to use….

Last summer a shed load of creatives, artists, musicians, and lovely people decended onto the Red Market for the Hackney WICKed Weekend…. Such a great weekend, if you ignore the few hours of poor weather…..

My piece, the one above is still there, but not for much longer as in may ill be returning to create something bigger and more special :)…More details coming soon!

The past 12 months have been my most experimental, and I feel i have made more progression with my work in the last year than i have in the previous 10. These images are 5 of my favourate pieces.. Each one started as an experimental idea with little planning on what the final piece would end up like..

Im looking forward to the weather getting better to get back outside and do some more thread illustration/installation pieces.

You may remember my Bat Signal thread piece from a few months back, well it was looking a bit battered and unloved as i mistakenly left it out in the elements, so i burnt off the thread, give it a fresh coat of paint and re-threaded it with some new shiny thread…… Iv’e also decided to sell this piece at a bargain price of £100…
